The access floor industry developed from Equipment Room ( UPS Power Supply System, Network Power, Surge Suppresser, Diesel Generator, DC Power System, HVAC, HPAC ) & Computer Room applications. This system could allow for conditioned air delivery under the equipment, support heavy equipment and provide easy access to the electrical services required.

Most equipment & computer rooms have a surface covering known as High Pressure Laminate(HPL). HPL has become the standard in equipment & computer room design because of its ease of maintenance and its unique ability to dissipate static electricity. RAISED ACCESS FLOORING IN CLEAN ROOM

Clean Rooms are environments that must be totally clean. No dust, no dirt, no particulate. The airflow is designed to take microscopic particles down off the body, usually by a grated access floor. These floors are all-aluminum and the application is highly specialized. The floors are expensive compared with mainframe type raised floors. Clean rooms are typically found in hi-tech environments such as biomedical, microelectronic, pharmaceutical and laboratory facilities.
